| Xichang represents the capital of the Liangshan Yi Minority Autonomous Prefecture in southern Sichuan Province. Even though more than two million Yi live in the region, the city itself has a much higher proportion of Han Chinese. Still, Xichang is a pleasant jumping off point as it receives more sunny days each year than any other city in China.
