Trekking & Mountaineering
Overland China / Trekking & Mountaineering
Western Sichuan and Northwest Yunnan are home to countless 5000+ meter peaks. Gongga Shan (7,550 m), or Minya Konka in Tibetan, is Sichuan’s highest peak while Meili Mountain (6,200 m) is Yunnan’s jewel. Merely visiting the endless snowy peaks makes for a memorable journey, and trekking amongst them is undertaken by still very few visitors.
On these trips, you will be given the opportunity to spend days hiking across untouched terrain, climb mountains that reach altitudes of 5000 meters (even 7000 meters if you’re really adventurous!) and spend nights in Tibetan and other ethnic minority villages that are seldom, if ever, visited by foreigners. As always, we can customize a variety of high altitude trips to meet the needs of our guests. Please take a look at our itineraries below, which offer expeditions that suit climbers and hikers of all levels of experience.
Our Trekking Tours:
Gongga Mountain: King of Kham (12 days)
Hike the Hengduans: Sichuan’s Endless Peaks (11 Days)
